Not an anniversary. Not a milestone. Not a "we've earned it" justification you've been rehearsing in case someone asks why.
You want photos of yourselves the way you actually are with each other. You want three hours where the only thing being asked of you is to touch your partner and be touched back, on purpose, with no kids interrupting.
You want to see yourselves the way the other one sees you.
That's enough of a reason.
Couples boudoir is the session for the version of your relationship that exists when nobody else is around. We make it visible. We make it beautiful. You get to keep it.
A lot of couples book around something. A milestone anniversary.
A wedding redo. A turning point.
The first year after the kids moved out and the house got quiet enough to hear each other again.
A lot of couples book around nothing at all. They just want to do something for themselves, with each other, before another year goes by.
What every couple has in common is this: they were tired of not having photographs that looked like the actual relationship. The relationship that exists when the door's closed and nobody's performing for anyone.
That's the one we shoot.
You both come to my Ferndale studio. The first hour isn't shooting — it's hair and makeup, done by me at the studio, while we talk. Whoever wants it gets it. Whoever doesn't, doesn't.
By the time the camera comes out, you've usually stopped being nervous.
The session is fully guided. Neither of you needs to know what you're doing. I'll tell you exactly where to stand, exactly how to hold each other, exactly when to look at each other and when to look at me. The first few frames will feel awkward. They always do. But we have on your favorite music, it's all vibes. Nothing serious, though you might look like it in the photos you can guaruntee that we're laughing our asses off between photos.
By frame ten, you've forgotten the camera is there.
We start clothed. We only go where you both want to go. Some couples stay fully dressed the entire session and walk out with photos they couldn't have imagined. Some go further. Both are right. You decide together, in the moment, with no pressure from me.
The studio is completely private. Just the three of us, the music you want playing, the door locked, and however much time we need.
After the session, you'll receive a proof gallery within 72 hours of your session to pick your favorites at home, together. Your full gallery and any products are delivered within two to four weeks.
Professional hair and makeup, done by me at the studio.

That's most couples who book with me.
Usually one partner has been thinking about this for a while. They saw something online, sat with it, and finally brought it up. The other one said I don't know and meant it. A few weeks went by. They talked about it again. Then they came in.
Almost every "maybe" partner has told me, on the way out of the studio, some version of that wasn't what I thought it was going to be. Easier than they expected. Quieter. More fun. More like being with each other for a few hours than performing for a camera.
If that's where you are right now — one of you ready, one of you not sure — that's exactly who this is built for. You don't have to be sure yet. You just have to be curious enough to send the inquiry.
Do we have to do nudes?
No. Most couples don't. Some of the strongest images I make are fully clothed. We talk about your comfort level before the session, and we never go anywhere you both haven't agreed on.
What if my partner is camera shy?
Most partners who walk in here are camera shy. By the end of the session they're laughing. The sessions are slow, guided, and private. You don't have to perform. You just have to show up.
Do you photograph all kinds of couples?
Yes. Every couple, every body, every relationship. If you're together, you're welcome here.
What should we wear?
We talk about wardrobe in detail before your session. I have suggestions, examples, and a closet of options at the studio. You won't be guessing.
How long is the session?
Plan for three to four hours, start to finish, including hair and makeup.
Where is the studio?
800 Hilton Rd, Ferndale, Michigan. About twenty minutes from downtown Detroit. Parking is on site.
Can we shoot somewhere other than the studio?
Yes. On-location and outdoor couples sessions are available with a custom quote.
Will the photos be private?
Yes. Your gallery is password-protected and never shared without your explicit, written permission. Many couples keep their session entirely private. That's always your call.
