The Edge of Bloom

Are you awake? It’s time to bloom.

The version of you that flinches at their own power.
The one who double-checks their voice before speaking.
The one who makes themselves soft to keep others comfortable.

Let them go.

The one who hesitates when their soul says now.
The one who overexplains, overworks, overgives—
thinking maybe this time, it’ll finally be enough.

That version of you was survival.
Necessary. Sacred, even.
But they were never meant to stay.

You know that.

Because every time you reach for more—
more freedom, more truth, more you—
that old version pulls you back.

“Be careful,” they say. “Don’t be too much. Don’t be too loud. Don’t be seen like that.”

Let them die.

Hold a funeral if you have to.
Cry. Rage.
Kiss their forehead.
Thank them for getting you this far.

Then walk away.

Because you’re not here to be digestible.
You’re not here to play it safe.
You’re not here to trade your fire for belonging.

You are here to rise.
Unfiltered. Unapologetic. Unafraid.

Let the old self die.
And let you finally live.
