Why You Should Experience a Boudoir Session

If you’ve been contemplating, and mulling over the thought of doing something out of your comfort zone, something that will capture your journey up to this point – something that is tangible evidence of the goddess you truly are here and now, then here is a little story of encouragement on why you should experience a boudoir session for yourself!

When Jenifer walked into my studio, her goal wasn’t just to take photos—it was to reclaim herself. Life, work, family—everything seemed to take priority over her own needs. This boudoir session was her way of pressing pause on the chaos and choosing herself for once.

The Vision: Relax, Have Fun, and Feel Comfortable

From the start, her goal was simple: to relax, let go, and truly feel at home in her own skin. Boudoir isn’t just about posing or lingerie—it’s about embracing the moment and creating an experience that’s all about you.

For her, this session became an escape—a chance to do something she didn’t do nearly enough: treat herself. As she said, “I don’t do nearly enough for myself, so this was a treat to get away, do something different, and think about myself for once.”

Why She Said Yes, and Why You Should Too

If you’ve been considering a boudoir session but feel hesitant, let me just say—you’re not alone. Many of my clients feel nervous about how they’ll look or worry they’ll feel awkward in front of the camera. But her words say it best:

“DO IT. 100% WORTH IT. I am the most socially awkward person, so I always assume that comes through in the photos. But it definitely did NOT. Magan is incredible! So personable and she will make you feel totally comfortable in your own skin.”

The genuine, laid-back energy we created together. “The entire experience was so relaxed and chill,” Jenifer shared. “She knows how to pose you to accentuate YOU. I can’t even remember half the stuff we talked about, but it made everything so comfortable and such a friendly vibe you forget you’re wearing next to nothing. Or nothing at all. 😉”

From the music, to the vibe, to every thoughtful pose, the studio environment is all about celebrating you.

Seeing Herself in a New Light

Like many of us, she admitted to struggling with how she felt about her body. She’d been putting off workouts, feeling less than thrilled with her reflection, and wondering if the timing was even right. But this session shifted her perspective:

“This body is still MINE to enjoy and flaunt in all its faults and glory. Rolls? Yep. Delicious and also a part of everyone’s body no matter how you look at it.”

Through the lens, she saw her beauty in a way that reminded her of how her partner sees her—flaws and all, but perfect in their eyes.

Empowered, Energized, and Ready to Shine

The confidence boost didn’t end when the session was over. She described how she felt afterward as empowered, sharing that it even inspired her to crank up the music and have a solo dance party the next day. “It helped me see ME the way my partner sees me every day. It was the confidence boost I knew I needed.”

She also took away a renewed sense of self-love, recognizing that life’s unpredictability is no reason to hold back joy. “Life is too short to be unhappy all the time,” she said.

Her Advice for You

Jenifer’s message to anyone on the fence is clear:

“Stop being so hard on yourself. You are your own worst critic. Book the session. Take the leap. You won’t regret it.”
