As a boudoir photographer Ann Arbor women drive 45 minutes to work with, I hear the same thing almost every time someone arrives at my Ferndale studio: I couldn’t find anyone closer whose work actually excited me.

Professional hair and makeup is included with every session. I’m a licensed stylist, so I handle everything myself before we ever pick up a camera. You arrive exactly as you are and we ease into the morning together, just the two of us, before a single photo is taken.

Every pose is guided from the moment we start shooting to the moment we finish. You don’t need to know how to look sexy on command or what to do with your hands. That’s my job. Yours is just to show up.

And at the end of your session you’ll do a private image reveal before you leave. You’ll choose your favorites while you’re still in the energy of the day, still feeling like yourself. Most Ann Arbor clients say that moment alone was worth the trip.

What to Expect When You Come from Ann Arbor

The studio is at 800 Hilton Rd in Ferndale. Parking is easy, the neighborhood is cute, and if you want to make a full day of it Ferndale is adorable, Royal Oak, or Downtown Detroit is right around the corner for lunch or dinner before you head back.

Most sessions run about three to four hours from the time you arrive for hair and makeup to the time you finish your reveal. Plan for that and give yourself a relaxed drive home. You won’t want to rush it.

The Investment

The session fee is $750 which comes off your total collection. Sessions start at $1,500 for the Studio Introduction. Full collections range from $3,200 to $6,500. Payment plans are available through Affirm, Klarna, and an in-house 0% interest option.

Is it really worth driving from Ann Arbor for a boudoir session? Every client who has made the drive says yes. The 45 minutes is genuinely the smallest part of the experience.

How long will I be at the studio? Plan for three to four hours from the time you arrive to the time we finish the photos. Some clients wrap up a little faster, some take longer. There’s no rush.
