Boudoir and self care. These two things go hand in hand, let me explain… 🙂

In a world where connection often feels fleeting, I’ve discovered a profound truth: the depth of our relationships is intricately woven with the fabric of our self-care journey.

A boudoir session becomes a bridge between self-care and self-perception, illuminating the truth that beauty is not defined by external standards, but by the depth of authenticity and self-love that radiates from within. It’s a reminder that you are worthy, you are deserving, and you are undeniably, unapologetically beautiful.

Picture this: a slow intentional morning bathed in golden light, a cup of your favorite morning drink cradled between your palms, and a quiet moment of introspection.

Stillness.

Solitude.

This is not just self-care; it’s the foundation upon which we build authentic connections with those around us. As a transmutational storyteller, I’ve learned that capturing raw emotions requires more than just technical skill—it demands a deep understanding of the human experience. It starts with prioritizing our well-being, and carving out sacred spaces for self-love amidst the chaos of our daily lives. From mindful practices to setting boundaries that honor our worth, self-care becomes the baseline of our ability to show up fully in our relationships.

Self Care is Not Selfish

It’s not selfish; it’s self-preservation in its purest form. But self-care extends beyond bubble baths and face masks; it’s a mindset—a conscious choice to treat ourselves with the same tenderness and compassion we offer to others. It’s about acknowledging our vulnerabilities and finding strength in our authenticity. In the realms of connection, vulnerability is our greatest ally. By embracing our imperfections and sharing our truths, we open the door for others to do the same, creating bonds that transcend superficiality and resonate on a soulful level.

In fact, when you book a Boudoir session with me – you will receive a full hour of pampering before your hair and makeup begin. You arrive at a beautiful, intimate space just a few blocks down the street from my studio, where you will meet the incredibly talented bodyworker, (among many other titles) Kelsey. She will greet you and consult with you about how you feel physically and mentally. She will then have you (fully clothed) lay on her massage table for 60 minutes of deep relaxation while performing Craniosacral Therapy. She will manually reset your natural facial rhythm using just the weight of a dime for pressure on different points of your head and body. The way to describe how you feel is as if your body takes the deepest breath, and relaxes beyond any comparison you’ve ever felt. A lot of people fall asleep (and it’s totally normal if you do, after all – life is BUSY and this is a chance for you to really take care of you.) so if you find yourself being awaken at the end of your session, you know it was good. You will feel present, grounded and fully in your body for what’s to come.

As you make your way down the street to my studio, upon arrival we will consult about your hair and makeup, get settled and get to work!

The rest is all about outfit selection, posing, and collaborating to make these images blow your mind!
